We started Sunday off with a nice walk down to brunch at Worth Our Weight. If you've ever been to FareStart in Seattle, then this restaurant is very similar. They "provide tuition-free culinary and food service training" to youth "who have faced major challenges in their lives." The food was very yummy and the atmosphere was so quaint!
After that, it was wine tasting time! We worked our way down from Santa Rosa to Sonoma Square, stopping at wineries the whole way!
First stop: St. Frances Winery & Vineyards
Second stop: VJB Cellars
Third stop: Gundlach Bundschu
Then we arrived at the uber quaint Sonoma square!
We made one final stop before dinner: Sigh, a champagne bar in the square. It was amazing!
A wall full of champagne; can I have one please?
Finally, we all enjoyed an amazing meal at The Girl and the Fig, one of the most highly recommended restaurants in Sonoma (#2 on Trip Advisor!)The food was incredible! I started with the most amazing lavender mojito.
Then we all shared a delicious kale & strawberry salad and a cheese & fruit plate. So good!
Then we ordered a Croques Monsieur...
Alex's dad always pretends to hate photos and then sits there posing until I take his picture :)
What a wonderful end to the weekend!!
After getting back to Santa Rosa, we made one quick pit stop at Russian River Brewing Company so Tim could bring back some bottles of the famous Pliny the Elder.
What an amazing weekend!!! Once again, a huge thank you to Angela & Dan for having us and being wonderful hosts!!!
