New Orleans!

New Orleans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my favorite cities, in case you couldn't tell!!!  This was my third trip to The Big Easy (Read about Mardi Gras with my mom here!).  I knew that Tim would love it, so I thought that celebrating his big 2-9 with Halloween in Nola would be perfect!
The birthplace of jazz!!!!

Cafe du Monde was literally our first stop.  Omg, I'm missing those beignets so bad!  I would literally eat there for every meal if possible.

Jackson Square and the St Louis Cathedral are SO pretty!

(Psst, here's what the back of the St Louis Cathedral looks like at night; pretty cool huh?)

The Cabildo, where the Louisiana Purchase was signed!

Enjoying some nice 80 degree weather while it rained buckets back in Seattle :)

I showed you our GoPro that we got a few months ago...this was our first trip using it, and I have some mixed feelings.  I loved being able to get wide angle shots of us, and being able to mount and film, but we also kept forgetting to turn it off, and missed out filming some of our fun activities because the battery was dead :(  We just get in the mind set that it will auto turn off like a camera will, but it doesn't.  Oh well, lesson learned!

I'm going to have to get used to knowing how much the camera will pick up and sit properly!! Ha!

We have so many hilarious outtakes from trying to navigate the GoPro :)

Yay!!  I can't wait to post about the Halloween parade, going on a bike tour, the Garden district, and Memphis!!!!

But before I leave, just a quick laugh!

When I went to Mardi Gras in 2010, we all kept laughing at these signs for "HUGE ASS BEERS", and I was laughing to still see them around this time!

(This is probably only funny to us girls!)

Until next time!

PS- for more New Orleans posts:  Here you'll find our bike tour with Buzz Nola, or click here to explore our trip through the Garden District.  Halloween festivites can be found here, along with the Krewe of Boo Halloween parade here.  See the soul of jazzy New Orleans here, or read about the food we tasted here!
