Halloween!

Halloween!!!  Like I mentioned in this post, I never liked this holiday growing up, but now I'm a fan!

After being in New Orleans for Mardi Gras four years ago, I knew that one day I had to take Tim here to experience another festival.  We picked Halloween/his birthday as an occasion!

Our costume this year......

Squints and Wendy Peffercorn from The Sandlot!!!

One of our favorite movies!!

We spent Halloween night on Frenchmen Street listening to jazz and enjoying some amazing food!
This is my "Feeeeeeed meeeee" face!
We went to The Blue Nile and The Three Muses to see two amazing jazz musicians!  Three Muses was also where we ate dinner, and let me tell you....omg...so amazing!  So delicious!  Mmmm!!!

Please go there next time you're in New Orleans!  You won't be dissapointed!  On regular nights (aka, not Halloween), you can make reservation for dinner and enjoy the show at a table.  On Halloween, there were no reservation and no seating for their second show, but we just barely managed to get the last two bar seats that were basically on the floor and not the bar, and got to sit and eat!  Lucky us!

(Yes, that's felafel stuffed with blue cheese!)
We also ran into our tour guides from Buzz Nola!

I'll talk more about the amazing jazz scene in New Orleans in another post, but here's a preview of the amazing musicians we saw!
After dinner, we walked around watching the madness and seeing all the cool costumes!  I'll let the pictures do the talking!

Tim is the biggest Star Wars fan ever!

We came this close to going as Waldo and Wenda this year...good thing we didn't!

Madness!

Halloween- we liked you this year!

  2. I love your costumes! Y'all looked great.

I'm totally digging New Orleans from your posts! We've talked about visiting but it's always like, "isn't that just the beads and the boobs and the drunkeness?" and then we plan something else. It's nice to get a totally different perspective on it!
