Jewelry Jewelry Jewelry Boxes!

Having not had any room for my old jewelry box for years because I choose to live in a city, I decided to create a piece that works with my lifestyle; something that I would actually use!  Something where my jewelry was easy to grab every morning and easy to put away after work.
Well I guess that there's a lot of people living in small spaces nowadays who have the same problems!  Since I shared my jewelry box design on the blog this summer, I've had four friends of mine ask me to make them boxes as well!

First there was an all white box...
Then three more color combinations- espresso brown, white and purple, and seafoam green and pink.
I tell you, I'm absolutely thrilled that people like it and are actually paying me to make them jewelry boxes!  It's so exciting to have the word spread; I'm working on an order now for a friend-of-a-friend who I've never met (my first non-friend order!), and a new design for another friend of mine!  That's seven boxes I'll have made!
Making all these jewelry holders has taken up a lot of my project time, but being busy as a bee is a good thing right now!  I've decided that I should really wait to make any more changes until we finally get around to installing new carpet.

Why?  Well flooring changes everything!  It's the number one thing we dislike about our condo, and I think it will be the biggest impact once we install new, non-gross color in there. Same goes for our tile- which we actually might install pretty soon!
With the holiday season upon us, we've also decided that we're going to wait until the new year to make the big switch.  Winter is the only time we're ever really free, so it will be a good time to leisurely choose new carpet without any deadlines in place.  I had hoped to have new carpet before our annual Christmas party this year, but we just don't want to deal with that chaos right now!
But back to the jewelry boxes.  I can't wait to share my two newest designs with you!
