We opted for bar seats so that we could watch them making all the food behind the counter, which was great because the food was so fancy that it was fun to see what everything looked like while being prepared.
First up we had a cardamom-hempseed-broccoli soup with fresh carrot juice to pour on top, next to a baby lettuce salad with sea beans, fennel, sesame seeds, and a Saskatoon (?)-shiso dressing.
Next we had patty pan squash stuffed with smoked French green lentils and coriander cashew cheese, topped with Sonata cherry-big bomb chili sauce and fried capers.
Our third course was a patty made of shredded Yukon potatoes topped with porchini mushrooms and a grilled eggplant mousse, and drizzle with truffel oil and pomegranate molasses, all on a bed of sauteed rainbow chard. Mmmmm!

Every course was topped with beautiful edible flowers, which we both loved! And the whole thing actually stuffed our stomachs! Being the bottom-less pits we are, it's not unusual for us to get a post-dinner snack or eat a second dinner later, but this time we were stuffed to the gills on delicious food!
My only complaint about the whole experience? It was ridiculously overheated in there! I was dying of heat! I think the next time I go back, it'll be in the winter! Otherwise, Sutra was amazing!!
