Eco Emi

Many of you have probably heard of Birch Box- a monthly service that sends you deluxe samples

When I was perusing Birch Box and searching to see how many non-toxic products they carry, I came along another service- Eco-Emi!

Basically, they do they exact same thing as Birch Box, except with Eco-friendly beauty products, and they expand their offerings into health foods and goods.  I immediately signed up for the waiting list and bought a surplus monthly box in the meantime.

My box contained:
  • Pear Tree Specialty Soap
  • GreenPlanet Shampoo and Conditioner
  • Lip Shimmer
  • Bella Energy Bar
  • Bio-degradable toothbrush
  • Vegan gel eyeliner in black
  • Vegan mineral eyeshadows in Rose Dust and Honey Gold
  • Vitacare pomegranate mint gum
  • Jasmine incense
The shampoo/conditioner, eyeshadows, and eyeliner are all great!  I've been using them everyday and I have no complaints!  Why didn't I ever think of using gel eyeliner before?

I haven't tried the incense or toothbrush yet, but the gum was good, and the energy bar was good before a pretty successful run..but I ate the second half after my run and it was very bitter.

I just a chance to join Eco Emi from the wait list, but I decided not to join just because you have to use Paypal.  Based on stories from Paypal, I'd much rather use my credit card straight to the site.  So, I joined the Klutch Club (a similar service for health gear) in the meantime- although I already wish I had joined Eco Emi instead!  Oh well...

Eco Emi-please offer different ways to pay beyond Paypal!

  1. Before the blog world I'd never heard of these types of services, but now I see them everywhere! I hope you end up liking the Klutch Club. I think I'd be more likely to do one of these than one that just does beauty products.
