Guest Post: Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Today I'm guesting posting over at Kittens, Books, and Musicals in Seattle, so come check out my post!  Here is Alex with a guest post of her own!
Hello all!!!!
While Shauna is over guest posting on my blog, Kittens, Books, and Musicals in Seattle, I'm here to make up for taking her away.

Given the Harry Potter marathon currently underway at the Shim house, I think I'll provide you with a portkey to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida.

We'll start our tour off in Hogsmeade, where the Hogwarts Express has just pulled in on your right. Beyond that two dragons soar and twirl in the air, which we Muggles will see as an awesome-sauce  dual inverted roller coaster.

Surprisingly I could handle it, and I'm usually a wimp.

When you stumble out, you find yourself facing Honeydukes and Zonko's. Luckily you don't have to choose which one to get into because they're connected! There you can get Bertie Bots Every Flavored Beans, (they actually make those in every flavor, I got a pack just for decoration.) Chocolate frogs (they don't jump), and peppermint toads (which are awesome).  Next to that is  the Three Broomsticks, which has a very English menu.

Right outside that is a cart where you can buy Butterbeer.

Butterbeer is the most delicious thing you can ever have. Except get a small. Because too much of a good thing leads to sugar  coma and we haven't even gotten to Hogwarts yet!

Speaking of, this post has already gotten long so lets zoom on over to Hogwarts. On our way we're passing by the lines into Ollivanders and Dervish and Bangs which are jam packed full of any Harry Potter related piece of merchandise you could ever want. That sounds sarcastic, but they have a Quaffle and it's the most perfect ball to play with ever (twss).  We'll also pass by the Flight of Hippograph ride which is pretty standard.  Wave goodbye to Hogsmeade!

And hello to Hogwarts!

Basically this whole things is an AMAZEBALLS, AWESOME-SAUCE line to a ride that is theoretically awesome-sauce that I didn't like so much. It was like Soaring over California, but very jerky. So back to the line.

They recreate Hogwarts for you in this line. You enter through the greenhouses into the great hall with the floating candles, and through classrooms with magic and holograms. Animated portraits decorate the walls and. It's just so great.

So now that you're thoroughly convinced to go You should book a flight asap! ;) ;)

Except don't go in summer because all that fake snow will taunt you when you're standing in Florida's high temps and humidity.
Hope you were entertained!
<3 Alex
