Weekend Update: Granny/National Parks Edition

This weekend I got to hang out with my awesome Granny from NC.  I only get to see her about once every two years, so I was very excited to spend the last three days with her!  It was an action packed weekend!

But first, check out this amazing sunrise Tim and I watched this morning:

The best part of the weekend was visiting Mt Rainier for the first time.  We took a cue from a pre-planned driving trip, courtesy of Visit Rainier, to explore the Paradise and Longmire regions of the park.  Let me tell you....it's breathtaking!  After viewing a couple waterfalls from the road,

We hiked up a little hill to another waterfall, Myrtle Falls.  The meadows surrounding the path were scattered with gorgeous flowers:

The mountain was gorgeous of course; we got to see glimpses of the summit all day as the fog moved swiftly by.

We hit another National Park this weekend as well, spending the afternoon at Lake Crescent in the Olympic National Park.  My brother and I were surprised to learn that the lake was pretty warm, so we had to go swimming in our underwear!

We also enjoyed some amazing Strawberry Champagne Slushies, which were DELISH and I'll post a recipe soon!
All in all, a good weekend!  Does anyone else have any good weekend adventures to share?
