Sometimes the simplest meals are the yummiest! Tim and I often make sandwiches like these on weekends when we don't feel like cooking!
Grab a hoagie roll, french roll, baguette, regular old sliced bread, or anything else that tickles your fancy! Slap on some mustard, Veganaise mayo, or any condiments you prefer! The beauty of sandwiches are that you can layer on anything you want.
This time, Tim and I threw on a couple Field Roast sandwich slices. Field Roast is made in Seattle and uses grains like lentils to make their "meat." Oh, and they're ridiculously delicious!
Then we piled on some onion slices and gobs of black olives (I may have eaten the rest of the can in handfuls)
Then...and this is super important...you must make your sandwiches into paninis by throwing them on the panini press! Mmmmmmm! After they're nice and toasty, I like to throw on some arugula, romaine lettuce, spinach, etc. Yum!
