15 Day Challenge Link-Up: Day 7

Day 7: Describe your relationship with your parents/siblings.

*I'm dealing with an unfortunate incident that may result in my losing all of our picture, videos, songs, and movies from our hard drive.  Thankfully, I happen to have some photos from this weekend I can post right now...but I am on the edge of my seat worrying about the hard drive!*
Anyway, my family is pretty tight!  We're sort of like a wild and crazy little clique (just wait until you hear some stories from this weekend)!  We've been known to all jump into the ocean, take off our bathing suit bottoms, and take photos from the land of us all waving our shorts around like flags...weird, yes?  But it made for a pretty entertaining childhood!
It's so very hard to get my mom in front of a camera!  Here she is with my dad
My mom & I are pretty much best friends.  We're so close that once we had a whole conversation by going "Oh!-" "Yeah!"  Long story on that one...But anyway, I tell her everything, probably too much!  Sometimes I forget we're mother and daughter and not friends!  Even though I'm 24 and married, I still call on her for every little thing
My dad and I were never super close growing up, but I'm definitely a lot like him.  I can see so much of myself that came from him.  We're always the first to jump on a roller coaster or spend a day organizing.  It's because of him that I'm so addicted to Myrtle Beach and the sound of the ocean.
My brother and I are super close as well.  I love that saying "Be nice to your siblings; they are your best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future."  It's so very true.  I also really like the saying "Friends are family you choose for yourself,"  which I also really think is so right on (I consider my closest friends to be my family), but there's just nothing quite like being siblings with someone.  Who else will you identify with when your parents are so embarrassingly weird? James is super protective of me and I always looked up to my older brother.  We always had a weirdly mature respect for each other; we knew we were really different but love each other a ton anyway!
