Hidden Lake Trail: Marblemount, WA

Hidden Lake Trail
Location: Marblemount, WA (North Cascades National Park)
Distance - one way Trailhead to Lookout: 4.5 miles (7.2 km)
Elevation gain: 2900 feet (884 m
Difficulty: Moderately strenuous

Wonderful Hike! It starts in a thick forest through rivers and streams, and then crosses over to a meadow like trudge up alongside a mild groove where a waterfall might one day fall. After reaching the peak of forestation, the trail continues past miniature trees and snow patches, and then into layers of giant crumbling rocks before reaching the final destination, the hidden lake. The trail has it all- quite dense at times, airily freeing in the meadow, and almost invisible at others.

Rattlesnake Ridge Trail

Short, intense hike to the first lookout, Rattle Snake Ledge. Here, you are rewarded with a beautiful view overlooking Rattle Snake Lake below. The path is kept well maintained and is quite popular among Seattle walkers. This trail branches off into a 10 mile hike that ends at a winery (yum!).
